About 6 months ago, a friend introduced me to the world of Podcasts and I have been hooked ever since! Podcasts are a big source of inspiration and motivation for me. In my busy day, I don’t have time to listen during the day, but I have a relatively long commute (child free!), so I started to switch from my popular radio morning show (sorry morning show!) to listening to a range of Podcasts to inspire me before work. I bluetooth my phone to my car and I am ready to listen.
I started off listening to Podcasts by writers or celebrities that I was familiar with, but have more recently moved to more entrepreneurial podcasts from empowering women! I love listening to their stories, perspectives, interviews and feel that I get something out of it-giving me more confidence in my own entrepreneurial journey. Many of the stories resonate with me and it’s great to hear the voice behind many of my favorite business women.
Check out this list that I have compiled of my FAVORITE Inspiring podcasts for women by women! You might find that you enjoy them as much as I do!
Do It Scared by Ruth Soukup
The Do It Scared® podcast is about taking the steps that will help us move past our fear and create a life we love. It is equal parts inspiration and tough love, complete with practical, easy-to-implement tips and interviews with some incredible authors, influencers, and people who have dared to do it scared in their own lives. This is a relatively new podcast but has great weekly content….and let’s face it…Ruth Soukup is my idol.
Style Your Mind By Cara Alwill
The Style Your Mind podcast by Cara Alwill has been my go-to lately. I do like to switch up the podcasts I listen to, but I find I’m drawn to A LOT of the topics she talks about. The podcast is for women who want to design their thoughts, empower themselves and build a beautiful lifestyle. Whoop! Whoop! She talks about everything from getting clear on your goals, how to handle rejection, knowing your worth and getting into a high vibration.
Good Good Talks by Stephanie Lynn
Good Good Talks is just a young 20-something’s lousy excuse for good conversation with good people. This bi-weekly podcast is hosted by Stephanie Lynn, a wanna be blogger who loves good and honest conversation and believes that every story, no matter how small, matters. This is just easy listening with a lot of humor built in!
Don’t Keep Your Day Job By Cathy Heller
I recently listened to an episode of Cathy Heller’s Don’t Keep Your Day Job featuring Jenna Kutcher and I was instantly hooked. I’ve been following Jenna for a while and I love her brand. She talked about her journey from climbing the corporate ladder to saying goodbye to the 9-5 life and starting and growing her own successful business. I love hearing from women who are going in a similar direction as me, and the podcast is all about creative people making a living doing what they love. It’s motivation at its finest.
The Strategy Hour By Emylee And Abagail
I’ve been following the ladies from Think Creative Collective for about a year now in their Facebook group and on Instagram, and they started The Strategy Hour podcast a few months ago. Their podcasts are always packed with amazing content for entrepreneurs, from time management tips to making money to scaling your business and persevering through tough times. Abagail and Emylee are so relatable and so much fun to listen to, and they often have guests on speaking about awesome topics, too!
Being Boss By Kathleen Shannon And Emily Thompson
To be completely honest, I tried a few of the Being Boss episodes and just couldn’t get into them, but SO many people have told me how much they love this podcast so I thought I should include it anyway. They’re always featuring other boss babes and creatives to offer different view points. A lot of the topics do resonate with me and I’m sure a lot of other entrepreneurs will find them really insightful. Think: Dealing with burnout, digital detox and productivity, and how to get unstuck and do the work! Reading these titles, maybe I’ll give it another shot!
This is just a sample of my current favorites but I am always looking to expand my listening. If you have any podcasts you love to listen to, please let me know in the comments! I’m always looking to add more to my list!
